Position Description:

Major Financial Services Company is seeking a VP to oversee the operations of the unit.

The units responsibilities will include:
* Investigate issues and new accounting pronouncements (i.e. FIN 46/ FAS 167/ FAS 115/ FAS 133/ FAS 140/ FAS 166/ FAS 157/ FAS 163)

* Review of existing worldwide accounting treatment on select issues

* Research, policy setting and implementation of procedures / strategies on select statutory issues

* Possess strong knowledge in the U.S. and UK statutory accounting analysis.

* Evaluate appropriateness of SEC and NAIC reporting disclosures.

* Address ad-hoc accounting issues that are non-transaction specific.

* Review accounting implications of potential new business acquisitions

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree

Experience:

* 7 to 10 years experience
